By Ahmed Isah
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe Council has congratulated Gov. Mai Mala Buni on his 58th birthday, praising his leadership and development efforts.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Rajab Ismail Mohammed, and Secretary, Alhassan Sule Mamudo, the council commended the governor for initiatives that have strengthened infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture across the state.
It said the completion of major roads and bridges had improved access for rural communities and boosted socioeconomic activities.
The council noted the construction of new schools and provision of scholarships, describing the interventions as critical to advancing human capital in the state.
It said the expansion of health facilities and implementation of free maternal health programmes had enhanced medical services, especially for women and children.
According to the council, the administration’s support to farmers through subsidised inputs and improved market access continued to strengthen agricultural productivity.
The union wished the governor good health, wisdom, and greater success in steering the state toward sustained development.
