Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi and Kun Khalifat Football Club of Owerri played out a goalless draw on Matchday 18 of the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS), Bauchi.

The encounter was keenly contested, with both sides displaying determination and tactical discipline, but clear-cut chances proved difficult to convert into goals.

Wikki Tourists, buoyed by home support, dominated long stretches of the game and created several scoring opportunities in both the first and second halves.

However, poor finishing and resilient defending from the visitors ensured the scoreline remained unchanged at the final whistle.

Kun Khalifat FC, who came into the fixture under pressure at the lower end of the league table, adopted a compact approach and relied on swift counterattacks.

Their defensive organisation frustrated the hosts and helped them secure a valuable away point.

Reacting to the outcome, a Wikki Tourists supporter, Audu Misau, criticised the club’s management, blaming what he described as poor coordination and questionable player deployment during crucial moments of the match.

According to him, better timing and positioning of players could have turned Wikki’s dominance into goals.

Another football enthusiast expressed disappointment with the home side’s performance, describing Wikki as lacking urgency and creativity.

He urged the team to step up and improve, stressing that the players were not doing enough to secure maximum points, especially at home.

Despite the draw, Wikki Tourists remain 14th on the NPFL table with 22 points, while Kun Khalifat FC sit 19th with 18 points after 18 matches.

Both teams will be looking to address their shortcomings as the league progresses, with Wikki aiming to climb the table and Kun Khalifat battling to escape the relegation zone.
