Yobe lawmaker empowers 1,161 people
Tijjani Zanna Zakariya, a member representing Nguru, Machina, Karasuwa, Yusufari in the House of Representatives has empowered 1,161 people in his constituency.

Zakariya, represented by Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim, Chairman, Yusufari local government council disclosed this on Sunday in Yusufari.
The lawmaker said “The total number of items distributed is 1,161 which comprises 43 tricycles known as Keke Napep, 280 noodle making machines.

“Other items were 205 grinding machines, 205 vulcanizing machines, 205 sewing machines and dry season water pumping machines across the four local government.”, he said.
He added that the gesture was ongoing, saying those who did not form part of present arrangement would be considered subsequently.

Zakariya advised the beneficiaries to utilise the items accordingly and not to diverting same.
Malam Bulama Muhammed, one of the beneficiaries, who got vulcanizing machine, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker.
“The assistance comes a no better time than now.”, he said.
