By Dan’Iya Baba

Yobe State is witnessing a transformation in its rural communities, thanks to Governor Mai Mala Buni’s ambitious road construction projects.

The initiative has opened up new opportunities for farmers, traders, and residents, connecting them to major towns and markets.

During a recent inspection tour, residents and community leaders expressed their gratitude for the projects, citing improved access to markets, reduced transportation costs, and increased economic activities.

The 10km Chumbusko-Tagali road, for instance, has made it easier for farmers to transport their produce, while the 16.5km Dawasa-Chukuriwa-Kukuri road has linked several villages to the major town of Potiskum.

The road construction projects have also been praised for their potential to boost economic growth, reduce poverty, and improve living standards in rural communities.

Governor Buni’s commitment to infrastructure development has set a new standard for governance in Yobe State, and his road revolution is expected to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe Council Comrade Rajab Muhammed Isma’il, who led the inspection team to various construction sites across the state said, commended the governor, saying he was worthy of emulation.
