Mr. Kashim Musa Tumsah has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form for Yobe, pledging commitment to a free and fair primary election.
Tumsah picked the form at the APC secretariat, signalling his formal entry into the race ahead of the scheduled primary election.
He reaffirmed his resolve to participate actively, stressing commitment to democratic principles, transparency and internal party cohesion.
Tumsah urged his supporters across the state to remain law-abiding, focused and resolute throughout the process.
He expressed concern over the reported endorsement of another aspirant without broad consultation among contenders.
According to him, inclusive engagement and due process are critical to sustaining unity, equity and fairness within the party.
Tumsah called on the national leadership of the APC to ensure neutrality and vigilance during the primary election.
He cautioned against manipulation, warning that such actions could undermine the party’s credibility.
The aspirant also appealed to party officials to guarantee a transparent and credible exercise across all levels.
He said any perception of disenfranchisement could weaken confidence and affect party unity.
Tumsah urged members in Yobe to remain vigilant and safeguard the integrity of the primary election.
He reiterated his loyalty to the APC and called on stakeholders to uphold internal democracy in the interest of the party.
