All 2,519 Bauchi Pilgrims Return Safely from 2025 Hajj

The final batch of 2025 Hajj pilgrims from Bauchi State has returned home, marking the successful conclusion of this year’s pilgrimage exercise.
A Max Air flight carrying 393 pilgrims landed safely at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
The aircraft had departed Jeddah International Airport, Saudi Arabia, earlier that morning at 5:30 a.m.
Families, friends, and well-wishers gathered at the airport to warmly welcome the returning pilgrims.
The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdulrahman Idris, confirmed that the return flight included 393 pilgrims, along with others from Kano and Abuja.
“With this final flight, all 2,519 except that we lost one pilgrim in Mecca, from the 2,520 pilgrims sponsored through the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board have safely returned,” Idris stated.
He expressed gratitude to Allah for the smooth and hitch-free pilgrimage and commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his continued support and for providing a conducive environment that ensured a successful Hajj operation.
The return of all pilgrims without incident has been celebrated as a significant achievement for the state and its Hajj administrators.
