
Sen. Buba distributes 21,000 bags of semovita, assures brighter economic future

The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Sen.Shehu Buba, has distributed over 21,000 bags of Semovita to residents across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State as part of efforts to cushion the impact of the current economic hardship in the country.
The gesture follows his earlier donation of ₦10,000 cash and a bag of Semovita to 1,000 women at the Federal Low-Cost Juma’at Mosque in Bauchi.
Speaking during the distribution, Senator Buba expressed optimism that the tough economic times would soon be over, noting that the Federal Government is implementing effective measures to stabilize the economy.
According to him, the federal government has made significant progress in stabilizing the exchange rate, which is gradually improving trade and market confidence.
He emphasized his commitment to providing palliatives regularly, not only to his constituents but to residents across the state.
Alhaji Abdulkadir Gyangyan, APC State Organizing Secretary and Chairman of the Distribution Committee, commended Senator Buba for consistently alleviating hardship among his constituents.
He said the distribution plan covers 1,000 bags for each of the seven LGAs in Bauchi South, while the remaining 13 LGAs will get 500 bags each.
Islamic cleric Dr. Usman Giade prayed for Allah’s blessings on the Senator, while beneficiaries expressed gratitude for his continuous support.
Meanwhile, Senator Buba also commissioned a model Islamic School and Mosque in Yelwan Duguri and inspected an ongoing mosque project in Birim, Alkaleri LGA.
