KMT Submits APC Governorship Nomination Forms, Insists on Credible Primary in Yobe
Mr. Kashim Musa Tumsah has submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the 2027 Yobe governorship election at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat, Abuja.
Tumsah, a frontline aspirant, arrived the party headquarters on Monday accompanied by a large crowd of supporters chanting party slogans.
He was received by senior party officials and conducted to the office of the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, where the documents were formally presented.
Addressing journalists shortly after the submission, Tumsah, a development advocate, said his administration, if elected, would prioritise people-centred projects and expand empowerment opportunities across the state.
On the issue of a purported consensus arrangement, he maintained that no such agreement existed among the aspirants.
He explained that a valid consensus would require all aspirants who purchased and submitted nomination forms to jointly agree on a candidate in the presence of stakeholders and formalise the decision, which, according to him, had not occurred.
Tumsah expressed confidence that with the support and prayers of the people, the most suitable candidate would emerge as governor.
He was accompanied by members of the Yobe First Movement (YFM), Haskey Forum, political associates, family members, and other supporters.
Our Correspondent reports that the YFM and Haskey Forum had earlier purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for Tumsah in recognition of his contributions to human development across Yobe.
The gesture, they said, reflected appreciation for his interventions that had impacted lives across the state.
